ChoosyFoodie is an experiential rating app for food products. The service lets you scan product barcodes, give a rating (1-5 stars), leave comments and feedback tags, and browse community ratings. By using the app you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
You can use the app as a guest, without creating an account. Registration is optional and progressive. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. The account is personal and non-transferable.
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile section. Upon deletion, your identifying data (name, email, notification token) are removed. You expressly agree that, even after account deletion, your demographic data and ratings are retained in anonymous and aggregated form, owned by the app, for community statistics and B2B analytics services. Such anonymised data cannot be traced back to you and fall outside the scope of the GDPR.
Some content (feedback tags, product summaries and spotlights) is automatically generated by artificial intelligence systems. Such content: - is generated automatically and may contain errors or inaccuracies; - does not necessarily represent the opinions of ChoosyFoodie or of individual users; - does not constitute medical, nutritional or purchasing advice. By using the app you agree not to hold ChoosyFoodie liable for any errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content, except as provided by law.
By submitting ratings, comments and tags, you grant ChoosyFoodie a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, reproduce and aggregate such content to provide the service and to produce aggregate and anonymous statistics. You are responsible for the content you publish and agree not to publish offensive, unlawful or third-party-rights-violating content.
You agree to use the service lawfully and not to: - use the app for unlawful or fraudulent purposes; - attempt to access other users' data; - alter, copy or distribute the software without authorisation; - send spam, offensive or third-party-rights-violating content. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access in case of breach of these terms.
The service is provided "as is". ChoosyFoodie does not warrant that the service is error-free or uninterrupted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChoosyFoodie is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the service. Product data and information come from Open Food Facts and third-party sources; we do not warrant their accuracy or completeness.
These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, except where mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.
